“We Deserve Chlamydia Care” is a community-based research study that centers the chlamydia testing experiences of disabled, IBPOC trans and cis queer women as well as Two-Spirit and non-binary people in Ontario.
These experiences were shared with us over the course of 23 interviews and, to help us contextualize what we heard, we used the frameworks of CBRC’s Research Principles as well as Wholistic Indigenous, Disability Justice, and Critical Feminist perspectives.
In addition to learning about participant experiences, there were important recommendations made to improve chlamydia care.
During the webinar, study team members will share learnings to date, while Community Advisor Tega Ubor will speak about the importance of grounding research in the lived realities of community members.
Finally, the webinar will close with a Q&A session in which attendees will get to dive deeper with the speakers.
This webinar is intended for 2S/LGBTQ+ community members, health care providers, community-based organizations, advocates, and policy makers.
